Healing After Suicide presents:
Reset, Refocus & Rejuvenate
Join us to unplug and reset this holiday season to stay healthy, reduce stress and recharge to start the new year rejuvenated.
As survivors of suicide loss or attempt, the greatest gift we can give to ourselves and those we love is to be intentional about where and how we spend our precious energy. You are allowed to focus on the things that bring the most joy and support yours and others’ physical and mental well-being rather than deplete it.
Experience the healing power of community with fellow survivors who have either attempted suicide or lost a loved one to suicide. You are not alone!
This half-day retreat will be facilitated by:
Jayne Madigan, 32 year, three time Survivor of Suicide Loss, Master EFT (aka tapping) Practitioner, Suicide Bereavement Clinician and Neuropsychotherapist.
Brooke Padilla, Certified Kundalina Yoga Teacher, Sound Journey Practitioner and Suicide Attempt Survivor.
Kundalini Yoga is a form of yoga for all levels that involves chanting, singing, breathing exercises and repetitive poses. This healing practice works to enhance our experience of healing by applying foundational elements: movement, breath, sound, and meditation.
Sound Journey can assist in relieving stress and tension. Through vibrations and audible sound, this therapeutic practice reroutes old thought patterns and creates new neural pathways. These changes to your brain enable you to encourage positive thinking, realign energy in your body, and create a path for trauma healing.
Cacao Ceremony is a spiritual ritual that involves drinking ceremonial grade cacao in a group setting to facilitate connection, healing, and self-exploration.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (aka tapping) combines ancient wisdom about the body with current understanding of the psychology of trauma and the lasting damage it does. And one of the conditions for which it is proving most valuable is trauma and its after effects.
Qualities that make EFT a frontrunner for trauma:
gets results in fewer sessions than traditional trauma therapies.
has the least risk that the treatment itself will be re-traumatising.
has impressive evidence of its effectiveness.
does not just assess success by self-report. It has results confirmed by biological, neurological, and genetic outcome measures.
after working with an EFT professional, people have excellent effective coping strategies to use for themselves in any challenging situation, whether it is trauma related or not, for the rest of their lives.
