Healing After Suicide™
Compassionate support for women learning to live after suicide loss.
Suicide loss changes everything.
It can leave you feeling as though the life you knew—and the person you were—have been forever altered. Grief can affect your mind and body, your relationships, your identity, and even your sense of safety in the world.
Healing After Suicide™ offers a compassionate place to feel understood, supported, and less alone as you learn to navigate life after loss.
Healing does not mean forgetting, letting go, or moving on from the person you love. It means discovering how to carry your grief and your love while slowly making room for connection, meaning, hope, and moments of joy.
You can grieve deeply and still live fully.
The Healing After Suicide Pathway™
A whole-person approach to healing after suicide loss.
There is no single path through suicide grief. Healing often begins by understanding what has happened within you—and learning gentle ways to care for yourself as you move forward.
The Healing After Suicide Pathway™ brings together compassionate support, nervous system regulation, somatic healing, trauma-informed education, EFT and Tapping, guided reflection, meaningful connection, and restorative experiences.
This approach recognizes that suicide loss affects far more than your emotions. It can change how your mind processes what happened, how your body responds to stress, how you relate to others, and how you imagine your future.
The Pathway helps you understand these responses, feel more grounded in your mind and body, and begin reconnecting with yourself and with life—one gentle step at a time.
At the heart of the Pathway are two complementary healing frameworks:
NeuroGrief™ Understanding how grief and trauma affect your mind, body, and nervous system.
After suicide loss, you may feel anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, emotionally numb, disconnected, or unable to move forward. You may have difficulty concentrating, making decisions, sleeping, or feeling like yourself.
These are not signs that you are grieving incorrectly or failing to heal. They are understandable responses to a devastating and traumatic loss.
NeuroGrief™ helps you make sense of what is happening within you. With greater understanding can come less shame, more self-compassion, and the reassurance that you are not broken.
When you understand your responses, you can begin working gently with your mind and body instead of feeling as though they are working against you.
NeuroRestore™ Reconnecting with safety, identity, meaning, hope, and life.
As you begin to understand and support your grieving mind and body, healing can slowly open the door to something more.
NeuroRestore™ helps you reconnect with yourself, your relationships, your sense of purpose, and the parts of life that may have felt unreachable after your loss.
Restoration does not mean returning to who you were before or leaving your loved one behind. It means learning to carry your love and loss with you while gradually allowing life to grow around your grief.
Together, NeuroGrief™ and NeuroRestore™ create the foundation for workshops, healing programs, private sessions, educational experiences, and restorative retreats designed specifically for women after suicide loss.
Grief may always be part of your story, but it does not have to define the limits of your future.
The Sanctuary Retreat Collection™
Restorative retreats for women who have lost a loved one to suicide.
Sometimes healing needs space.
Space away from daily responsibilities. Space to exhale. Space to be cared for. And space to spend time with women who understand the complexity of suicide loss without needing an explanation.
The Survivor Sanctuary™ retreats offer a compassionate place to rest, reflect, reconnect, and gently return to yourself.
Each retreat brings together healing practices, meaningful conversation, nature, travel, cultural experiences, and supportive community. Every detail is thoughtfully chosen to create space for comfort, connection, renewed possibility, and moments of beauty and joy.
These retreats are not about escaping your grief. They are about giving yourself room to breathe within it—and remembering that life is still waiting for you.

Meet Jayne Madigan
Suicide Loss Survivor • Neuropsychotherapist • Speaker • Retreat Facilitator
I created this work because I have lived it.
Over the past 34 years, I have experienced multiple suicide losses that changed my life and shaped my understanding of grief, trauma, healing, and what it means to keep living after devastating loss.
I know what it is like to love and miss someone deeply while trying to find your way forward in a life you never expected to be living.
What began as my own search for healing eventually became my professional calling.
Today, I bring together lived experience and professional training in neuropsychotherapy, nervous system regulation, somatic healing, EFT and Tapping, and suicide bereavement support.
My work helps women understand what traumatic grief has done to their minds and bodies, learn gentle and practical tools for healing, and reconnect with life at a pace that honors both their loss and their love.
I believe healing after suicide loss is possible. Grief may not disappear, but with compassionate support, life can slowly begin to expand around it.
Your Story Is Not Over
Healing may not mean returning to the person you were before your loss.
It may mean gently discovering who you are now—a woman shaped by deep love and profound loss who is still capable of experiencing connection, meaning, purpose, beauty, and joy.
There is still life ahead of you.
And you do not have to find your way toward it alone.
An Open Letter From One Suicide Loss Survivor to Another
If you are here, chances are your life has been touched by suicide loss.
First, I want you to know this:
I understand.
Not from a textbook. Not from clinical training alone. But from lived experience.
For the past 34 years, I have lived with the heartbreak, shock, confusion, trauma, and grief that suicide leaves behind.
Since 1992, I have lost four loved ones to suicide.
I know what it feels like to wake up and realize life will never be the same again. I know the exhaustion. The anxiety. The unanswered questions. The emotional pain that lives not only in the heart, but in the body.
And I also know what it feels like to search desperately for help and not find the kind of support you truly need.
After losing my 47-year-old uncle to suicide in 1992, the stress and trauma deeply affected my physical health. Over time, I became seriously ill and was eventually diagnosed with lupus. I was told I would likely not live past the age of 50.
That experience changed everything for me.
It forced me to understand something many grieving people are never taught:
Trauma and grief do not only affect the mind. They affect the nervous system, the body, the spirit, our sense of safety, our relationships, and our ability to fully live.
I began searching for healing beyond traditional approaches alone.
Over the years, I immersed myself in neuroscience, neuropsychotherapy, nervous system regulation, somatic healing, EFT and Tapping, trauma recovery, mind-body healing, spirituality, and post-traumatic growth.
The tools I now teach are the same tools that helped me slowly rebuild my life mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Today, I no longer struggle with the illness that once overtook my body, and I live medication-free. I share this not to promise cures or suggest anyone avoid needed medical care, but to illustrate how profoundly unresolved trauma and chronic stress can affect the body — and how healing the nervous system can become an important part of reclaiming life and wellbeing.
What I have learned through both personal and professional experience is this:
Healing after suicide loss is possible.
Not because grief disappears. Not because we stop loving or missing the people we lost. But because human beings are capable of healing, growth, connection, meaning, and joy even after devastating loss.
I created Healing After Suicide™ because I wanted women to have the kind of support I could not find after my own losses.
A place where you do not have to pretend. A place where your grief is understood. A place where healing includes the whole person — mind, body, heart, and spirit. A place where you can learn practical tools to support your nervous system, process trauma gently, reconnect with yourself, and slowly begin allowing life back in again.
I believe we can hold grief and joy at the same time.
I believe healing does not dishonor the people we love.
And I believe your story is not over.
With love, Jayne
