A Moment to Breathe
The most powerful wellness tool you own is already inside you.
Give yourself 90 minutes to pause, explore your breath, and connect with others in a welcoming space.
Join Jayne Madigan for an interactive breathwork experience shaped around the needs and experience of those attending. Drawing on decades of teaching and her training with Dan Brulé, Jayne will guide you through breathing practices you can explore during class and return to in everyday life.
The Science Behind Your Breath
Your breath connects your brain and body—and offers a practical way to influence how you feel.
Breathing happens automatically, but you can also consciously change its rhythm. This makes it a useful way to work with your autonomic nervous system, which helps regulate heart rate, breathing, and your response to stress.
Gentle, slow breathing can support the body’s relaxation response, helping you move toward a more settled state. Research suggests that certain breathing practices may:
· Reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
· Improve mood and support emotional well-being.
· Slow breathing and, during relaxation, heart rate.
· Modestly lower blood pressure with regular practice.
In a randomized study, researchers found that five minutes of daily structured breathing over one month improved mood and reduced anxiety. A practice emphasizing longer exhalations showed particularly promising results for positive mood and a slower breathing rate.
Learn What Works for You
There is no single breathing pattern for every person or situation. In this class, you’ll explore practices adapted to your needs and comfort, learn how to notice your response, and discover options you can bring into everyday life.
The invitation is to develop a skill you can return to—one breath at a time.
What to Expect
