Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) for Healing During the Holiday Season is designed for
Women who have lost a loved one to suicide. This online course offers tools to manage grief during the holiday season. Through weekly lessons, you’ll learn grounding practices, self-compassion exercises, and gentle ways to navigate emotions, all in a safe, supportive space.

It’s for those who feel overwhelmed by the holiday season, struggling with the pressures to ‘celebrate’ while managing the weight of grief.
If you’re seeking a supportive space to heal, connect, and find ways to honor your emotions this holiday season, this course is for you.
How this Course Works
The Holiday Healing course is a 5-week journey designed to provide support and healing during the holiday season. Rooted in science-backed holistic and somatic practices, each module is crafted to guide you through the complexities of grief, providing tools to help manage difficult emotions, reconnect with yourself, and foster resilience.
You have the option to join live virtual workshops on Sundays, from November 17 to December 15, at 7 PM (ET) or Mondays, from November 18 to December 16, at 7 PM (ET). If you prefer a more flexible approach, the online self-paced version allows you to complete the course on your own schedule.
Course Modules
Grounding for Peace and Stability
Description: In this module, you’ll learn grounding techniques that help you feel rooted and stable, using somatic practices to calm the nervous system and re-establish a sense of safety.
The Science: Grounding techniques activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps counteract the body's stress response, promoting relaxation, lowering cortisol levels, and bringing you back into the present moment.Compassionate Self-Awareness
Description: This module focuses on cultivating self-compassion through practices that help you honor your emotions and nurture kindness towards yourself, even when experiencing painful feelings.
The Science: Self-compassion reduces negative emotions and increases resilience by activating the brain's self-soothing pathways, specifically engaging areas like the insula and prefrontal cortex that regulate emotions and empathy.Creating a Heart-Centered Ritual
Description: Rituals provide a meaningful way to honor grief and the love you have for your lost loved one. This week, you’ll create a personalized ritual that you can return to for comfort and connection.
The Science: Rituals support psychological closure and provide a sense of continuity, activating the brain’s reward systems and releasing dopamine to aid in emotional processing and create a tangible sense of peace.Finding Joy in Small Moments
Description: This module teaches gratitude and mindfulness practices to help you rediscover moments of joy and comfort, even in the presence of grief. You’ll learn techniques to gently invite lightness and presence into your daily life.
The Science: Gratitude and mindfulness practices boost serotonin and dopamine, promoting positive emotions and resilience. These practices reshape neural pathways, grounding you in the present and reducing emotional reactivity.Looking Forward with Hope
Description: In this final module, you’ll explore ways to look forward with hope, honoring both your journey and the possibilities ahead. This module uses reflection exercises to help you set intentions for the future with compassion and renewed strength.
The Science: Reflection and intention-setting exercises activate the prefrontal cortex, helping to reframe grief and embrace growth. Studies show these future-focused practices enhance resilience by reinforcing positive neural pathways and fostering a hopeful mindset.

About the Instructor
Hello and welcome. My name is Jayne Madigan, and I’m deeply honored to walk beside you on this healing journey through the holiday season. I know firsthand how overwhelming this time of year can feel after losing a loved one to suicide. I, too, have navigated the storm of loss, as a survivor myself, and found a way to bring comfort and healing back into my life—something I once thought impossible.
Over the years, I've dedicated myself to helping other women like you find peace and strength, not just to survive but to reclaim joy. As a certified energy medicine specialist, Master EFT Practitioner, and holistic neuropsychotherapist, I’ve guided thousands through techniques that provide relief from the weight of grief, one compassionate step at a time.
Together in this course, we'll explore gentle, holistic tools that truly work, ones that helped me heal after my own devastating losses. My hope is to support you through this season with compassion, understanding, and powerful techniques that can help you feel grounded and more at ease. You don’t have to face this journey alone—I’m here with you, every step of the way.
