BEYOND SURVIVAL: Growing Through Grief
A three-week virtual workshop inspired by post-traumatic growth and the NeuroGrief Method™
Sunday: September 13, 20, 27 OR Tuesday: September 15, 22, 29 @ 8 PM (ET)
Grief changes us—but it does not have to define the limits of our future.
Inspired by the principles of post-traumatic growth, this three-week workshop explores how healing can lead to greater strength, deeper self-awareness, renewed purpose, and a more meaningful connection to life—without minimizing your loss or asking you to ‘move on.’
Post-traumatic growth does not mean that grief disappears or that the loss was somehow meant to happen. It describes the meaningful changes that can gradually emerge as we learn to live with what has happened. Growth and grief can exist together. You can continue to miss and love the person who died while also creating a life that holds purpose, connection, hope, and moments of joy.
As a 34-year survivor of multiple suicide losses, I understand that grief affects far more than our emotions. It changes the brain, body, nervous system, relationships, sense of safety, and even our identity. That understanding led me to create the NeuroGrief Method™—an approach designed to help us work with the brain and body as we learn to carry grief differently.
What You’ll Explore
Throughout our three weeks together, I’ll introduce new NeuroGrief Method™ tools, techniques, and gentle nervous-system practices to help you:
Understand how trauma and grief affect the brain, body, and nervous system
Recognize survival patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted
Regulate your nervous system during grief waves, difficult anniversaries, and unexpected emotional triggers
Begin shifting from simply getting through each day toward feeling more present, grounded, and connected
Reconnect with yourself, others, and the life that is continuing to unfold before you
Explore meaning, purpose, hope, and moments of joy alongside grief—without guilt
Create a personal collection of practices you can continue using after the workshop ends
What to Expect
Each session will blend compassionate education, guided reflection, practical NeuroGrief exercises, and opportunities for meaningful connection. You will be invited to participate at your own comfort level. There is no pressure to share more than feels right, and you do not need to arrive with answers or a clear vision for what comes next.
This is a supportive, educational workshop—not a promise of a quick fix. The goal is to help you better understand what is happening within you, develop tools for navigating difficult moments, and gently make space for the person you are becoming.
This Workshop May Be for You If…
You feel as though you have been living in survival mode since your loss
You want to understand why grief affects your thoughts, energy, body, and relationships
You are ready for practical tools that support the nervous system—not just advice to think positively
You want to explore what healing and growth can look like without leaving your loved one behind
You long to feel more connected to yourself, your purpose, and life again
A Gentle Path Beyond Survival
Beyond Survival is not about finding a silver lining in your loss, becoming grateful for what happened, or returning to the person you were before. It is about honoring what you have endured while gently discovering who you are becoming.
You survived something that changed you. Now, together, we’ll explore what it might mean to live—and grow—beyond survival.
You do not have to choose between honoring your grief and embracing your life. There is room for both.
