TAKSU | Bali Retreat • May 22–27, 2027
Honoring Love. Embracing Life.
The Light Within You Is Still Here.
May 22–27, 2027 • Bingin, Uluwatu, Bali • Five Nights and Six Days • Limited to 10 Women
In Balinese culture, TAKSU is the divine spark within you—the life force, radiance, and essence that make you uniquely who you are.
Suicide loss can make that spark feel unreachable. You may no longer recognize the woman you were before the loss, while the woman you are becoming is still difficult to imagine.
But your light has not disappeared.
TAKSU is an intimate, trauma-informed retreat for women who have lost a loved one to suicide. In the sacred beauty of Bali, you will be supported in honoring your love, tending to your grief, and reconnecting with the life still waiting for you.
For five nights and six days, you will experience meaningful connection, nervous-system support, sacred Balinese rituals, cultural immersion, and restorative moments of beauty, peace, and even joy.
This is not about returning to who you were before your loss—or leaving your loved one behind. It is an invitation to discover who you are becoming and begin reclaiming your life—gently, courageously, and on your own terms.
A brief conversation with Jayne is required before registration so you can ask questions and ensure TAKSU is the right fit for you.
A Retreat Born from Love
TAKSU is deeply personal to me. I created it in honor of the four people I have lost to suicide—my uncle Ray, my nephew and godson Brandon, our close family friend Jacob, and my brother Bill. Ray and Brandon hold a particularly sacred place in this retreat as my godfather and godson.
The retreat begins on May 22, Brandon’s birthday, and continues through May 24, my own birthday—a meaningful passage from remembrance into continued life.
I am a 34-year, four-time survivor of suicide loss. I do not understand this grief only through professional training; I have lived it. I know what it is like to keep functioning while quietly falling apart—and to wonder whether joy can ever feel possible again.
I created TAKSU for women who need what I once needed: a place where their grief is understood, their love is honored, and they are gently supported as they find their way forward.
Grief may always be part of your story.
But it does not have to be the whole story.
Why TAKSU?
Suicide loss carries its own complex grief: unanswered questions, trauma and shock, guilt, stigma, and emotions that can feel impossible to explain to someone who has not experienced it.
Most survivors are expected to keep functioning—to return to work, care for their families, and appear “fine” in front of people who do not know what to say. Over time, grieving privately while performing “fine” publicly creates a profound kind of exhaustion.
TAKSU offers something different: uninterrupted space with women who understand, and a carefully held experience created specifically for suicide loss.
A Place Where You Do Not Have to Explain
You will be surrounded by women who understand suicide loss from the inside. There is no need to minimize your feelings, protect anyone from your story, or find the right words. Here, you can experience the profound relief of realizing: I am not the only one.
Healing That Includes the Body
TAKSU goes beyond talking about grief. Somatic practices, nervous-system regulation, ritual, and guided reflection will help you reconnect with your body and cultivate a greater sense of safety within yourself.
Permission to Live Fully Again
Many survivors fear that experiencing joy, beauty, or adventure would somehow betray the person they lost. At TAKSU, you will discover that honoring your loved one and embracing your own life are not opposites.
What TAKSU Will Invite You Into
You may arrive feeling depleted, disconnected from the woman you once were, or uncertain whether joy is still available to you. During our time together, you will be invited into:
Relief from the exhaustion of functioning while quietly falling apart
Meaningful connection with women who understand suicide loss
Practical tools to regulate your nervous system beyond the retreat
A deeper connection to your loved one’s life and legacy
Permission to experience beauty, pleasure, adventure, hope, and joy
The understanding that moving forward does not mean leaving anyone behind
A renewed connection to your TAKSU—the inner spark that never left you
Why Bali?
Known as the Island of the Gods, Bali is a place where spirituality is woven into daily life. Offerings of gratitude line the streets. Ancient temples rest among rice terraces and jungle. Ritual, community, and reverence for life’s transitions are part of the island’s rhythm.
The Balinese concept of TAKSU makes this a meaningful setting for the journey. TAKSU is nurtured through presence, creativity, ritual, and connection—practices that invite us to remember the radiance still within us.
There is a gentleness to Bali that many visitors find difficult to explain: the warmth of its people, the rhythm of its ceremonies, and the way the ocean, jungle, and sacred exist side by side.
TAKSU does not simply take place in Bali. Bali’s beauty, culture, and sacred traditions are intentionally woven into the experience.
The TAKSU Experience
Across five nights and six days, sacred Balinese rituals, somatic practices, cultural immersion, meaningful group connection, and generous time for rest will support you in honoring your loved one while reconnecting with yourself.
The experience is intentionally intimate and limited to 10 women, allowing space for trust, personal attention, and genuine connection.
The TAKSU Activation: Reclaiming Your Divine Spark
At the heart of the retreat is the TAKSU Activation—a guided signature experience combining somatic practices, intentional reflection, ritual, and personal visioning.
You will explore who you have become through loss, what you are ready to release, and how you want to live and carry your loved one forward.
This is not about fixing your grief. It is about supporting your nervous system, reconnecting with your body, and making space for the woman emerging from everything you have survived.
Your TAKSU Never Left
This is not about fixing your grief, “moving on,” or leaving your loved one behind.
It is about carrying your love forward while making room for connection, meaning, peace, beauty, and joy.
Your TAKSU Never Left.
Come Reclaim It in Bali.

Is TAKSU Right for You?
TAKSU was created for women navigating the life-changing impact of losing someone they love to suicide.
You may be experiencing:
Survivor guilt, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm
Numbness or disconnection from yourself
Grief that feels held in your body
Exhaustion from appearing strong while carrying enormous pain
Spiritual questioning or a loss of meaning
Difficulty imagining a fulfilling life after loss
A longing to feel connected, understood, and alive again
You do not need to arrive feeling strong, certain, or “ready to move on.” You only need to be open to being supported.
Our Approach
Suicide loss affects far more than emotions. It can influence the nervous system, body, sleep, relationships, energy, and sense of safety in the world.
Throughout the retreat, you will be gently supported through a thoughtfully paced combination of:
Nervous-system regulation and somatic practices
Breathwork and meditation
EFT tapping and guided reflection
Yoga Nidra and sound healing
Journaling and healing circles
Balinese ceremonies and cultural experiences
Rest, nourishment, and meaningful connection
Each day offers a balance of healing experiences, cultural immersion, spaciousness, and integration. Nothing is forced, and every practice is offered as an invitation.
At TAKSU, you will be surrounded by women who understand the complexity of suicide loss—without explanation, judgment, or pressure to be anywhere other than where you are.
